Things have gotten off to a tremendous start for the Detroit Lions in this year’s NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers, to the point that the visiting fans are audibly taking over Levi’s Stadium.
After Detroit capped its final drive of the first half with a field goal that extended the lead to 24-7, the Lions fans present got vocal.
As officials for the game talked about a call on the ensuing kickoff, a “Jared Goff” chant broke out and was clearly heard on the TV broadcast. You can listen to that chant below.

Goff was having a tremendous first half at the time of the chant. He was 13-of-20 passing for 145 yards and had led four different scoring drives, the majority of them methodical as he picked his way down the field against the 49ers secondary.
The help of running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery was also instrumental in keeping things balanced, as the duo ran for 106 yards and two touchdowns in the first half.
On3 will have more on this developing story shortly.
