So Close
The past week has been pretty tough to go through. Being my second year, it was quite an experience. Getting so close, and watching it just slip from your fingers. You got to give Colorado their credit, they got the big hits when they were needed. Matt Holliday had an unbelieveble series, and the rest of their team as well. We are still going to finish out the season strong, and play the game right. We're going to go out and try to win every series we can that we have left. Just like you try to do every week.

I was really surprised to hear Kent's comments earlier this week. All this time I thought that everyone was getting along well together. I remember there were articles about how good it was having Gonzo and Ethier playing together, since Ethier idolized Gonzo. And you'd think many of the young guys like Loney and Abreu and Kemp would feel good learning from Kent and Nomar, two great players.
There's no doubt that Ned C. needs to reevaluate the clubhouse chemistry and get a good balance. We had a lot of young guys and a lot of old guys, but no middle aged players, which I thought hurt. You have to bridge the gap. I work in an office full of college students and I can't see eye-to-eye with any of them, but when I got some coworkers to work with me who were older than I was, I had someone to relate to more, and then in the eyes of the youngsters, I wasn't the old fart anymore. I dunno. I just would rather have a team that gets along and loses a ton of games, then a team that cannot respect each other, and just barely misses the playoffs.

Would it make any difference to you if you were named the teams no. 1 starter next year or the no.3?

I am bumming about this year but I hope you finish strong . You young guys help me stay optomistic. Which makes me wonder, what is up with all the Old Guys vs. YoungGuy talk? You young guys would have so much pressure if the old guys had showed up this year! Stay positive Bills!

You guys gave it your best shot and it just didn't turn out the way you and all of us Dodger fans wanted. But I for one enjoyed watching you guy this year, and I especially enjoyed watching you pitch. Get 'em next year. Go Blue!

Discussing another matter - - - - what are they doing to LONEY? They've created a punch & judy hitter out of a guy who would be more productive pulling the ball more frequently. It's frustrating to watch Loney blooping "middle-in" pitches, off the handle. These are pitches he handled with ease two years back. Let 'er rip!!
Sorry, Chad. . . . . I had to vent my frustrations! Hope it's productive! Love The Dodgers!!!
